Been listening to "Roarong Jack - the complete works" quite a lot in the past days. Great stuff, truly recommendable.
I first bought the vinyl copy of "Through the smoke of innocence" in 1990 and particularly liked "Her latest affectation", "Ways of a rover", "The bonny wee well" and "Polythene flowers". I then tried to get some other stuff by RJ, but couldn´t. Well, at least until the "Complete works" came out.
There are lots of fantastic songs on both the "Street celtability" EP and the "The cat among the pidgeons" LP. Lots of those songs still stand the test of time - "Buy us a drink", "Wild rover again", Lads of the B.L.F.", "The swaggies have all waltzed Matilda away" and so on and so on.
Unfortunately I haven´t managed to get hold of a solo album by Mr Hulett. Should try a bit harder, I guess.
