I think that you may not understand the lengths some fans will go for some personal contact.

Perhaps Revsta was wishing that s/he had been there to cushion Shane's fall? Or perhaps that rather than falling down, that Shane had fallen for Revsta? Some kind of interlude or something?

If I drank all the Red Bull Mr. C was slapping back, I wouldn't sleep for months and I'm about 2 of him!
Did the old songs taunt or cheer you, and did they still make you cry?

Tickets for St. Paddy's Day show

Post Tue Mar 13, 2007 4:43 am

I will likely have 2, maybe even four tickets available for the St. Paddy's day show in NYC. I will be there if anyone is interested in buying them.

I drink exactly 4 cans (1 litre) per show. Is this to be a new taunt, I wonder - The Pogues were Redbulled out of their minds, but at least the singer stuck to Retsina, Gin and Guinness.

HAHAHAHA..."Boy the Pogues sure sucked last night, I was completely disgusted...that guitarist was speeding out of his mind - he could hardly stand still. "Turkish Song Of The Damned" was played so fast that I felt bad for poor old Shane who obviously deserves better than to try and keep up with a bunch of caffeine freaks. What a bunch of Red Builshit. I walked out after three songs and will never pay to see the Pogues again until that Chevron guy gets some help. No wonder they play the same set every year, they're all fucked up on the Bull and couldn't be bothered to concentrate on re-learning any other songs. Plus I hear Red Bull is IMPOSSIBLE to find anywehre except for Boston, Chicago, New York and Philly which plainly proves why the buggers won't play anywhere else."

HAH! Was this from our "friendly" Guest again. What a fool. And someone needs to tell all these states down here in the south that they aren't supposed to be able to get Redbull. What a fool that person is.

I think I'll run with "joke" on this one.

It's everything the first one was, but with Red Bull. See? It's ... Umm. Never mind. It's hard to explain humor. It's like dancing about architecture.

Quit listening to Mr. Zappa! ;-) I'm still seeking out that Balet in tribute to I. M. Pei.

I saw the show at the Orpheum in Boston. It was a great time. I was 7 or 8 rows back. My legs are still sore and my throat is still horse from screaming and dancing. Please come back to Boston next year.

It's been 20 years since I've seen the Pogues, I am a fan all over again.

Eh ... if you walked out after three songs, and "Turkish Song Of The Damned" was the fourth song ... how do you know how fast it was played?

It's way too long a joke explanation to get into now - suffice to say this is a play on another post in another thread in another section of this forum.
