If you thought Shane couldn't sing, you should watch the guy try to mime, just watched Kufen's video of Kirsty and Shane 'singing' Fairytale a few years ago, and he could barely open his eyes, never mind keep in time with words, but as with most things with shane macgowan over the years with comedy theres tragedy as i watched the clip and giggled at bits, i though to myself what state the man was in a couple of years ago, and how sad such a gifted person let himself go down that road, but shanes on form these days and is better for it.

to be fair a normal man would be dead by now with the amount of drink n drugs shane as taken over the last 10 years.

but i think shane will probably live-forever,

random outbursts get built up inside of me sorry to go-on

Doesn't every1 judge, some1 at some-point, come on MacRua im not being disrepestful but it doesn't take a genisus to c that shane's enjoyed the drink and the rock n' roll life over the last few years, but my point was that he's doesn't seem as bad now as he did in that clip, do u agree?

he looks great! :D

OK, Pogue-Mahone, I can't stand two things - rumbling about drugs knowing nothing about subject and judging others.
And there are two who really know about stuff and amounts Shane has been doing - Shane himself and God. It's their concern. Not ours. Almighty God is merciful and forgiving. Let's try to be indulgent towards our neighbours too.

agreed, i dont know exactly how much shane has or hasn't taken and that i dont know alot from personnal experience, but im just saying how i saw it from the clip as i said before shane wasn't exactly sober. as u say We are just human beings, are we not? and as shane's fans im every1 as an interest in he's done over the last few
years,

p.s. also agreed I tend to talk bollocks aswel, anyway on a lighter note................................................

Pogue-Mahone, do you have to try to write that bad? Because save for trying really hard, I don't see how someone could write like this.

i said b4 u dnt ave 2 b a genisus 2 relise

do u really need a ruler 4 wot has been staring u in the face do u?

You should make an effort dude. Or better yet, you should make no effort so maybe you wouldn't write that way.

oooh oooh. my turn. i JUST started liking the pogues. so, i know nothing. and make fun of me all you like. i had a lot of catching up to do. and tracking where shane is at, now. and it's very very obvious how ravaged he was. no one's pretending to know the exact quantities. not that a ruler would help, anyway. but it's very very obvious. pictures alone. he looks much better than he did a few years ago. it's pretty easy to tell, even with the old man stumbling down the street, the affects of alcohol. i'm quite suprised by the attack for such a common statement.

my first thought was that...great, this guy's going to die before i get a chance to see him. or hear new things. death was on him and about him. again, i know nothing. you can see himself pulling out, too. like my dad told me to.

shane has confessed to most of the things mentioned, too. the drink and drug usage. so what was between shane and god...he told us about. no one is to say if he should or shouldn't. or should have or anything of the sorts. but...making an observation that's 98% accurate and sure. well...

If you want to see Shane fucked up watch his gig with the Popes at Pinkpop 95 and it was the first time I saw him and after that I knew: "I want to be like Shane"
