i've been listening to it alot recently, and i've come to the conclusion it is by far the most under-rated pogues song, rrfm is actually close to becomming my favourite pogues album and i at first considered it the weakest

anyone agree?

Transmetropolitan is amazing. I really think it should be played live.

"Yip-Ay-Yay!"

Though it changed over time when it was in the show, including a lengthy period when it became "Heave Away!" - we were listening to Rain Dogs a lot at the time, especially "(Tonight We Sail For) Singapore".

As documented by at least one bootleg, there was a period of time when "IRA" made the cut. Hopefully not for too long.

Aside from the fact that not every Pogues (and possibly not every Pogue - I can't claim to speak for them) fan believe a proscribed organisation with a violent history is the best solution to the problems in Northern Ireland,

the album would've been banned in the UK had these been the shouts "IRA", remember the enforced name changes?

Yes, it should! It's one of the best. We (the Spotted Dogs) actually recorded a cover of Transmetropolitan on a demo in 1999. Some "FOSsers" were planning to do a tribute album.
