Jesus, that's rough. I mean do they not know the mental trauma they are causing you by giving you 8 weeks off in the summer.

You do know secondary schools here close for 12 weeks in the summer. Almost makes me wish I was a teacher.....Almost. 8)

Careful what you wish for, Bud.

Round here the schools generally get about 6 weeks off in the summer now.

I actually went for the interview to be a Woodwork and Technical Drawing but failed the "Oirish" part of it badly.

Funny how life turns out. I don't think I would be half as happy if I'd gone down that road.

Still thinking about where to go this Summer. Possibly a Belarus/Lithuania trip. Have any of you been to either of these countries? If so, would you recommend them?

My aunt did last year and she said it was one of the most beautiful countries she had seen and she has been to quite a lot. I've seen pictures and I was amazed by all the wealth really in the cities

Unfortunately I'm back in Brisbane, looking at returning to the 'real' world. :( Spent the past year in Mission Beach, a beautiful rainforest and beach surrounded tourist village in tropical North Qld. I was doing pub crawl features from North Queensland (e.g - Airlie Beach, Cairns) for a mens' magazine similar to FHM and landscaping. Now I'm back in Brisbane, broke after losing my (uninsured) car in a tropical flash flood on the 1700km drive back to Brissie and looking for work. No holidays for me for a while. :(

Thinking seriously about Croatia, Dubrovnik and Split. Reports on those would be appreciated. Anyone considering Prague? I would highly endorse it! Wish I'd known a certain fellow Medusan when we went, but really everything was lovely. I may do a couple of weeks blowing glass in Istanbul this year, like I did (missing the Pogues in San Francisco) in Murano last Fall. Ack! Choices, choices...

Back to work after a glorious week in St. Anton, Austria. The sun never stopped shining.

Going back to Obergurgl, Austria in two weeks......and it has started to snow. Nice.

Johan, You'll be happy to know the Moosewirt is still rocking. 8)
