I think it's the Bad Seeds.

... but with all respect to Shane, Nick Cave's original version is a bit better. :-)

On all the formats I have (7", 12" and MCD) it says "Lucy version no.2". What happened to version no. 1 ? Is it available somewhere, and how do the two versions differ ?

I've always wondered that too. (Well, not often, just occasionally).

Great song. I love the chorussy bit when they both sing it together. Cracking stuff.

Could Cave's original version be #1?

It's a lovely, lovely song, which gets a lot of play in the firehazard house.

Yes, I think Mr Cave's original is version 1. It's on the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album "The Good Son".
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

A very beautiful song indeed by Mr Cave.

But then, why didn´t they count the "Rainy night in Soho" versions that have been released before ? Maybe there are far too many versions to count them !? :D
