ive met heather ,shes a real nice girl ,give her a break .its true its an open forum ,we are all entitled to our own veiws and oppinions ,i stated my grievences over the manc gig ,and will stand by them .it as been stated ,it makes you no less a pogues fan .im sure the comments are welcomed by phillip as much as praise !

Well, yes, in theory, though in fact what was really engaging me by the morning after Manchester, was the first London show later that day. People are entitled to feel aggrieved if the Pogues, for whatever reason, deliver below par, but unfortunately the ticket sale comes with no guarantee that this will not sometimes happen, as Premiership teams discover week in week out. This is why we call it rock n roll. Or football. Or something.

The point is, neither praise nor criticism are likely to affect my view of the show much. I already know whether or not it sucked or rocked and I also know that it can be frustrating having to take collective responsibility for the former on the rare occasion it happens. My personal responsibility is to that day's show, that night's performance, the next audience.

Well id like to see the pogues come back and play a show for us northerners in manchester arena for their 25th anniversary to show us and us to show them that we can actually get the place to kick off.

I agree with you. I always enjoyed the gigs at the Apollo.

It was the place where I had my first experience of being at the front.

Every time this thread is bumped I first parse the subject as "Manchester Underpants" and have a moment of confusion.

Perhaps you're giving Manchester its full name. Like Ashton-under-Lyne......
