The early numbers sound a bit ropey alright but it looks like it got much better later on. Shane took his time coming on didn't he.. :shock:

Just looked at some videos of the Manchester gig on Youtube. Shane could not keep up at all with Fiesta I think the band nearly had to slow the whole song down for him.

I think it's fair to say after watching those Youtube clips there was an issue with the sound in some of the early numbers.

But Fiesta, deary me.

Yeah, I heard Lincoln and Douglas debated this in 1860. A hundred years later JFK and Nixon did the same. Gerald Ford, on his death bed, said he watched the Youtube clips from Manchester, and said it was the worst Pogues gig in his lifetime.
