March gigs

Post Fri Mar 18, 2005 11:40 am

Has anyone here been to any of the current Shane/Popes gigs? Any reviews or set lists available?
Hoping Shane's on good form!

I was at the gig. It was basically a pogues set with only two popes songs played. Shame really. Was a good night out, but not a great gig. If you saw them in December, that was a much better show.

Well, I saw the gig on Friday night. And Shane was on fantastic form. On stage about 9.30pm, and played for about an hour, with Shane on stage almost all the time, except for one break during an instrumental. Later came back for an encore: Boys from the County Hell, Paddy Rollingstone and finished with South Australia. The set was almost all Pogues stuff.
Shane seemed to be enjoying himself, his voice was great, and he looked well. Thanks Shane for a great evening!

Yes, I'd have to agree - but then that was the Pogues, and it was better than anything you can imagine... ;-)
But Shane was great this time too.
