The New Musical Express used to call Shane 'Fred Perrier'. Based upon the stylish Polo/Tennis Shirt to which the English Tennis Player Fred Perry lent his name. British Mods and Skinheads liked these shirts. Shane tended to prefer red ones. I suspect it was the same one he wore all the time until it wore out.

I always like that the Talking Heads tended to dress like me, too.
What kind of fuckery is this?

Anybody have a picture of Shane wearing those hawaiian-print baggy shorts that were briefly popular in the eighties?

Or a picture of Shane in traditional Japanese menswear (hakama optional), brandishing a naginata, a la Toshiro Mifune in 'Yojimbo'?
