They do send tickets abroad. They will be sent by registered mail, and should arrive within two weeks of your order.

PS If you click the British flag, you'll get an English version of the page ;-)

Maybe we should hold a party for all the people from the forum that are going?

@Lade: That would be a good idea :-) I'll definitely be there.

And I just got the word from Agnes; Greenland Whalefishers are definitely going to play as warm-ups! *bonuces* Great! That'll be one hell of an evening...

Only one thing that could possibly make that evening better. The Pogues as headliner. I must ask Agnes if there is any good bars in Bergen. I am ordering my flight and hotel room tomorrow.

Cheers and see you all there.

I am currently trying to find out if I could travel to see Shane live there in Norway. Having GWF as his warm-ups doesnt certainly harm my intentions.

Keep your fingers crossed and you might see a finnish bastard going nuts that evening.

Damn! so near and so far... It would be easier and cheaper to go to Lonodon from Helsinki..

How did they ever choose to play in Bergen? Why not Stockholm or Helsinki?

You couldn't be more correct. It's awful expensive to travel from Lappeenranta to Bergen, for example.

I'll just have to rely on my employer. I'll get there, if he'll get me enough of work during the next couple of weeks.

I know this trip would be worth of everything. I just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best. :?

It's official, The Greenland Whalefishers will support Shane in Bergen May 4th. http://www.bergenfest.no/program.asp?vis=04 Should be great, two great bands at the same night. See you there.

According to http://shanemacgowanofficialtourdates.com/tourdates/ it will be Shane MacGowan without the Popes.

Perhaps we will see him alone on stage with an acoustic guitar then ;) Hehe.
Seriously though; I wonder what band/bands is/are backing him up on those dates listed on the link you pasted.

Fortunately/unfortunately depending on your point of view it is DEFINITELY with the Popes, as are all the listed shows. Whoever is running that site is just sloppy about colour coding. :)

Regardless of their ability to apply the colors consistently, I find their choice of colors amusing:

Shane MacGowan alone == Green
Shane + The Popes == Yellow ("Oh no! Better be cautious!")
The Popes == Red ("Dear God! No! NOOOOO!")

A poor choice of colors.
