Band Aid
see or die!!

The timbre which dries placed in the race musical instrument of feeling good celt district, as for the シャガレ voice where eternal drunkard Shane Macgowan is flushed, echoing as expected in some stage? On PRS forum last week Phil Chevron said the band had NOT turned down all the 2005 festival offers ... so this just might be true.

they're unlikely to just do one date?

Perhaps Australia, NZ or Los Angeles might get a show too?

Holy Smoke!!

Why are they touring Japan?

Are the Pogues big in Japan?

Surely Boston, NY and other ex-pat Irish areas should have been top of the list?

Shane's teeth probably turned out to be too expensive. Japanese people pay loads of money to see bands from the west.

Can any of our Japanese colleagues furnish us with any more info?

Like how big are the venues?

Isn't this crazy!! The Pogues popping up in Japan ...

This time they must strap MacGowan into the bullet train. :)

Shane in Tokyo ... It makes me think of Bill Murray in Lost In Translation when being interviewed by Japanese Tv. Could be hilarious.

I don't claim to be standing in for Philip, or anyone else for that matter, but I know he's away at the moment, so I suppose it falls to me to tell you that we are indeed going to be doing three shows - hardly a small tour; it's three shows - in Japan, (and yes, I acknowledge that Shane's career with the Pogues came a cropper in Japan, oh, how many years ago was that? 13? 14? but time is a great healer) I have no details of the shows at all, other than we're going to be playing Fuji Rock, which I think we've done at least once before. Other than that, you all seem to know more than I do. But a lot of the time, that's the case, isn't it?

When I know of the details, I'll be sure to post it here.

See you later
