At the Asagiri, they played 24full-setlist under the beautiful full moon. Since when I just got back home my brain is not working but having incredibly great time. Thanks to philipchevron - for your professional musicianship, scallywag - nice mate, and theholyspook - see you in sometime soon.

Someone's review again:
The Pogues concert
An evening in Shibuya to see The Pogues (reunited), in Japan for a series of concerts. The venue was quite small (maybe 2500 persons?) and we were pretty close to the stage. In front of us people were jumping in all directions all the time, but we could see fairly well. We sure could see that Shane McGowan smoke at least 10 cigarettes, and that he drunk at least five big glasses of what must have been whisky. But dirty old Shane seemed to be in a jolly good mood and in a "not so bad" shape. He was able to sing, which is not for granted, given that the man was practically dead a few years ago. He also muttered some sentences now and then, but it probably didn't make sense to anyone but Shane himself. Anyway, it was great.

Vegas Wedding

Post Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:27 pm

And as Spider has now taken to announcing it to all Japanese audiences, I suppose it's no longer a big secret that he and the lovely Louise will be getting married in Las Vegas on October 15th.

Congrats to Spider and Louise on their wedding. Disappointed I can't make
it to Vegas. Will they be selling their wedding photos to the British press
(like Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones)? If so, I hope there
is one of the best man in the classic Elvis white jumpsuit :D (I am pretty
sure you can't have a wedding in Vegas w/o Elvis. The Elvis at my wife's cousin wedding actually passed around autographed pictures at the reception, I think he really thought he was Elvis :?

Shane looks in good form at Shibuya shows

Shane looks like he's in good form at these shows from what I've seen. How's the band feeling about it? Looks like he wasn't missing a beat from what I saw and his voice sounds better and might I be mistaken but has he lost a little weight?

I wish I had concert tickets to the San Fran shows, why don't you blokes make your arses up to Maine for a show :D I'll give you a tour of Portland.

   8) A double-page spread, between 'Finbarr Saunders & His Double Entendres' and 'Roger Melly On The Telly' would be a corker.

But seriously: Congratulations to Louise and Spider on their impending Vegas nuptials. Long life and abundant happiness to you both. :)

While I understand why the band just gives a couple of concerts a year, this is really sad that many of their followers can't get to see them live. I guess they can't be everywhere, but this is a shame to see 5 concerts in LA for example and no concert at all in other countries/states. Maybe they just go where most of their fans are? I don't know. Anyway, my fingers are still crossed to eventually see them play... one day... ;)
