Reading the rest of what you've written, I think you've done it pretty well, Walshy.
I spend half of my life either writing, or editing what other people have written. And I reckon that the most difficult things to write about are the personal things, the things that mean a lot to you. (That's why a good editor will never be out of a job... at least I hope not.
) So you've done well with it.
