James was kind enough to relay this information about the show:

I have to say that the upcoming show at Molly Malone's just landed in my
lap so to speak, through a friend, Justin Clayton (singer songwriter,
english expat), whom I've known for some years. I wasn't looking to play
publicly, but it would have been churlish to turn a friend down. Justin's
been putting together Monday nights at Molly Malone's for a while. A week
last Monday, I was supposed to play a couple of songs with him and with Dead
Rock West, but I got the flu. I'll be doing the two songs of Justin's and
playing a few with Dead Rock West after Cranky George on Monday. Mulroney
Brothers and Brad Wood (producer: Liz Phair, etc) and I have been rehearsing
furiously, (as furiously as overscheduled dads and actors are permitted) to
get at least 40 minutes of material together - Drunken Boat, (from Waiting
for Herb), a couple of songs of mine (which the Low and Sweet Orchestra
couldn't be persuaded to do or lacked time, or whatever), a couple of
Kieran's, one of Dermot's, an instrumental that I couldn't get words to
stick to, and, and, well, we'll see what tonight's rehearsal brings. A
serial murder ballad from Kieran, hopefully.

Sounds like a very informal gathering and show, but a lot of fun too. I'm filled with envy for those of you in SoCal that can make it.
