Flogging Molly Or Dropkick Murphys.

Post Tue Feb 08, 2005 10:40 pm

Hey,

I meant to post this awhile ago but oh well. I wanted to know who is more popular to the fellow pogues fans. I prefer Flogging Molly.

Thanks.

I like both but when I compare them to the Pogues I guess FM is the closest (but still far away)

What about moving across the atlantic and adding Greenland whalefishers to the list ;) ?
Otherwise I would say Flogging Molly, but im not a great fan of them.

I like both but would probably go for DKM
It was on the 23rd of June
As I lay blasted in my room
A small bird sang on an ivy branch
And the song they sang was the "Jug of Punch"

Why comparing those two? I mean, I love both, but they're nothing like eachother.

The question was mostly based on which band is more irish influenced. Dave King of FM is a great lyricist and im excited to see the new stuff from them.

But your all right both are great bands.

Nope, they're all from MA (Boston/Worchester). Leadsinger Al Barr is even half Scottish/German.

DKM has never labeled 'emselfes Irish, btw.
