Aha!

I would recommend, then, that you not buy the upcoming release!

i like dropkick murphys, but they fucked up billy's bones and i bet they'll do the same to my favorite nips song. they do the wild rover pretty decent, it'll probably be better with shane. i like the song good rats which shane did some vocals on too.

Their cover is actually quite good. You should be able to find it on Winmx or kufens ftp.

Vengence

Dropkick is great at doing covers and some trad songs....its their original material that sucks...If you haven't heard them, get their first album (Boys on the Docks) with the original lead singer and avoid the Al Barr stuff....although I do have to give them credit, they do a great cover of Fields of Athenry...

Yes the cover of the Fields of Athenrye is a very good one, and I wouldn't say so bluntly that all their original material sucks - some are better some are worse, they are of course no Pogues or whatever but they are good in their own taste.
It was on the 23rd of June
As I lay blasted in my room
A small bird sang on an ivy branch
And the song they sang was the "Jug of Punch"

(It is Ken singing on Fields Of Athenry ;))

Yeah, the Nips cover is great, so are the Misfits,AC/DC,Stiff Little Fingers,Sham 69,Business,Cock Sparrer and Angelic Upstarts ones ;) (gee, that's alot of covers :|). The only cover I dislike is the Iron Cross one.. don't know why.
