Just an idea

Post Wed Aug 30, 2006 11:10 am

Hello Philip. Been having a very enjoyable read of the 1000's thread. One of my favourite Pogues songs. Really like you singing it though. Now the idea. If it's on the playlist, when it's turn comes, tell Shane there's a drink waiting for him offstage. As soon as he go's off, start the song, problem sorted :D . Tickets on the way for Manchester, can't wait

You think Mac needs a reason to leave the stage?? Anyway, he sang it in A and I do it in C so it's not as interchangeable as you might expect. Which is why we take no chances and have Shane kidnapped at that point.

Back from work, logged on and expected to be ripped apart in a friendly sort of way of course for not knowing. So he sings it in A and you sing it in C, dosn't mean a great deal to me I'm afraid. All I know it sounds pretty good when you sing it. Hope to hear it in Manchester.

maybe I'm wrong, but I remember that in the live at the town and country (the 1988 one) you were singing 1000's with Shane.. I'm dreaming?
