Thanks for fixing the "trifle", DzM! Especially enabling the "Find all posts by xxx" feature is welcome by us nosey bastards who enjoy peeping into the dark souls of others. ;)

You should still be able to login/logout when images are not displayed.

On the main forum page ( http://www.pogues.com/forum/ ) on the bottom left of the window, below all the forum names, should be a Login area with UID/Pass fields (if you're not logged in) or a "Logout" link.

Hmm. Seems the links in the header are missing ALT tags. I'll add those so that they're usable with images turned off too.

Basically this "syndicates" each new post to the fora. An RSS aggregator can then take these published articles and make them available in a different format, on a different web page, or in an entirely different program.

i have tweeked so the latest active thread in this forum scrolls on the top of my TV :D
using XBMC on my Xbox
when i get the internet connection that is :(

after 5 minutes of examination, i have determined that "Ph34r M3!" means either "Fear Me!" or "Grandfather Clock" - probably the latter

Hey DZM, is it normal for a PM to just sit in the outbox when I send it? When is it moved to Sentbox? Just never paid attention before, thought it weird when I niticed it today. After I hit Submit it did say "your message has been sent", but then I checked and it was in the Outbox...
It was on the 23rd of June
As I lay blasted in my room
A small bird sang on an ivy branch
And the song they sang was the "Jug of Punch"

I guess the message moves into "sentbox" after the member picks it up.

The message lives in the Outbox until the recipient reads it. While it's in the outbox you can edit or delete it. Once it's moved to the Sent box it is no longer editable.

Thanks - I'm glad you like it.

New things are always coming. Some are small, some are large. I have no idea what schedule they're on though. :) Keep an eye out.

A small update for those of you that like to keep track of these things:

The front page, while still very ugly, now has a nice shading element to separate the many stories that are presented on it. This looks quite nice in IE6 and Firefox. It looks like arse in Safari.

A very similar shading effect is now employed at the top and bottom of the Forum pages. I think this looks quite nice. It still looks like arse in Safari though (though much less like ass than the front page).

The Forum now has the same navigation graphic on the bottom of the page as is used elsewhere on this site. Now things look like they play well together. I suspect this looks like arse in Safari.

I changed how quoted material in the Forum is rendered. While I had no real complaints against quoted elements that included people's names, quotes that did not include credit looked a great deal like arse regardless of the browser used. I think it now looks much nicer.
That's all for now.
