In Serbia,formed The Pogues Tribute Band!!!

I'm a founder of the band.There are 6 people in the "game":
lead vocal
tin whistle(that's me)
violin(I can't find accordion player)
bass guitar
acoustic guitar
drums

We'll take about 10 months for practice,and then in May,maybe we'll have first gig.Concert in one high school in Novi Sad,and I thiink it's enough about 12-15 songs for playing.It must be perfect!!!

With too founders? well, IrishRover's band plays in pubs. Target group of this one is seemed to be based in high school...

Nah, we never accused Serbian Fan of being IrishRover's alter ego. We are not sure if lucky Serbs have one or two tribute bands now. BTW IrishRover's band is supposed to be tribute to The Popes, correct me if I'm wrong. This one - Pogues tribute band...

UPD: sorry, IrishRover's band is Shane's tribute...

All Serbia needs now is A Nips tribute band in order to have an excellent Father Ted style "Shane MacGowan through the ages" night. That would rule :wink:

lol no not competitors... oi know about the project, tis me young Serbian friend Pera who loives in Novi Sad, hes goal is to make Pogues' tribute and stuff. We talk pretty often, so oim very well familiar with everything.

Oi don't see hem as competitor, we do different stuff, yes the band oi lead is tribute to Shane not Pogues(waste majority of songs we do is of Shane and Popes), but that is considered to be just the leading point, tis not the foinal goal for me to have just a tribute(following me work with new crew, oi expect to start creating authentic songs of me own as well). Anyway songs we do are mainly different or if same with much different sound, image... so there aren't really any obstacles to have good communication and oi goive me support as much as oi can
