Regardless - you guys are being too hard on NYPiper. Yes, it's kind of a silly question. But it's also a natural question given Shane's abysmal dental state. Isn't it enough to say "That's a question that only Shane knows" and then start poking fun at the question?

What about "How can he chew his food with no teeth?" Should we lend our kind, shaky but still helping hands? To help to find a proper answer based on first hand experience... (no pun intended)

No, I take it back. That is a stupid way to respond. If it were a question that only Shane knew, then NYPiper79 would actually be Shane, and that just cannot be. And now I'm thinking NYPiper79 is not actually weird, in addition to not actually being Shane MacGowan. :)

It was reported in 2005 that MacGowan was considering using some of the money earned from the 2004 Pogues reunion tour to purchase a new set of teeth, due to concern that his rapidly-deteriorating dental situation is adversely affecting his singing voice.
