James, good starter accordion?

Hey, James it's James all the way from Maine, heheh. I'm looking into starting the accordion, as I think it's an amazing instrument that adds so much richness to a song, and I was wondering what you'd suggest as a starter instrument.

Is there a difference, I am assuming yes, between the larger and smaller accordions? I particularly like the accordion in Bottle of Smoke, IISFFGWG, your Johnny Come Lately, and White City. I'm trying not to spend TOO much money here, as I'm not sure whether or not I'll stick with it or end up playing it (i hope to sing for my band), but what would you suggest?

How is L.A. treating you by the way? I'm probably moving there in January, I'd like a non-native's point of view on the city. Great U.S. shows by the way. I saw you guys at the Orpheum on the 15th, wonderful show you guys are just as good live as on the CD. It really impressed me when you guys were able to switch gears fast enough to get the song back on track when Shane came in like 8-10 measures early on IISFFGWG. It's wonderful you guys post here too.

Thanks in advance!
