I know you're talking about a different chatroom sweetie... just saying that the shanemacgowan.com chatroom is also normally empty. I know lots go in there at night (around 21/22 hours gmt) but during the day its usually got nobody... see that it may be more trouble than it is worth to maintain a similar effort!!!! 8)
Its my plan

Well... there's nothing more useless and no more pitiful sight than a constantly empty chatroom - are you sure we have enough people eher willing to chat so that there's always someone in that room?

That's always the problem. I've been on some other forums with 4,000+ members, hundreds online at one time, yet no more than two in the chat room, and that's on a crowded day.

If the chat were implimented I'd be sure to be in it whenever possible, but that doesn't mean other people will as well.

There's really only one way to find out, and that's to put the chat in on a temporary basis.

So someone can catch up without browsing alot of forums.

Because it's cool and stuff. :)

Basically this "syndicates" each new post to the fora. An RSS aggregator can then take these published articles and make them available in a different format, on a different web page, or in an entirely different program.

For an example of how this can be consumed and re-purposed see:

Fixed forum boogs!

Post Wed Jan 26, 2005 3:33 am

I've fixed a problem with the Search feature that prevented the viewing of any search results after the first page. This has been broken for nearly nine months and nobody told me about it. You slackers.

I also rearranged some of the presentation of number of pages, number of results, and pagination for Search results.

Nah, just professionals  I hate when my clients beguile me with "this doesn't work" shite. Specially when they can easily live without that unworkable feature. But they prefer to divert me from moderating this forum and involve into their sad problem instead of sorting it on their own or just doing without it... So having felt it on my back i'll never let meself to disturb others over trifles...

Had to turn off displaying images in my browser today for a bit, the forum looks so funny without any images, even no way to log in :-)
