Shane joins Alt. rock combo shock!!!

Post Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:21 am

Just seen this link on eBay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Contemporary-Shane-McGowan-The-Pogues-Canvas-Art_W0QQitemZ7421157256QQihZ016QQcategoryZ20147QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It would appear that Shane has joined an established alt. rock band, while also pursung a career as a modern art icon. Buy that man a drink.

Strange but true: Some people I know have recently changed their surname to Velouria. I haven't found out yet whether this is some kind of Pixies tribute. I sort of wish they'd opted to be called Monkeygonetoheaven or even Herecomesyourman instead, but I suppose that would have been too good to be true...

Well, as they have not put in a disclaimer in the advertisement, I think i should be safe to assume it comes free with the artwork.

Will Sir be requiring a throw rug perhaps, or a nice coffee table? Or perhaps a slightly more adventurous sofa?

My vote goes for the original sofa, as its just what we need to go in our modern kitchen-amphitheater addition dining room ..... area. You know - the place where the crisps and horderves will sit next to the keg and cutting station of <select your meat> will be for the big Pogues party once the guys come back and we all gather in D.C.
What kind of fuckery is this?
