Fiddlers Fancy (Irish Rover B side)

Post Fri Jul 14, 2006 12:38 pm

Does anyone know if Fiddler's Fancy (from the Irish Rover 12") is available anywhere on CD or to download ?

It brings back some very fond memories (as does the rest of the EP), but unfortunately I havent had a record player for ages and would dearly love to hear it again.

Thanks in advance.

I don't but I thought the remasters had picked up all the songs not available elsewhere i.e. not counting remixes, live tracks or different versions.

Annoyed if this was one that was missed. Maybe on the box set?

Ah, just realised this wasn't a Pogues song. It seems to be The Dubliners without the Pogues.

As you were!

Glad you spotted that. I'd never listened to this track, as I had no memory of recording it. For a moment, I thought I had inadvertently omitted a lost classic from the reissues.

Have still not been able to track this down on any Dubliners CDs (although in looking this has brought back some great memories too).

Could anyone direct me to an album with this on please ?

I believe I read somewhere that it's on the B side of The Pogues' "Irish Rover" single.

I knew I should have put this in "Shared Glory".

OK Medusans, we've now established this is a solo effort by the Dubs. Can anyone point me in the direction of a Dubs CD this appears on please ?

Please take conversations about trading MP3s to private places (email, PM, IM, etc).
