Keep it up. It's a long, twisting road from there to over here beyond the smokestacks and the sulfur fumes. And worth every step it is too. Welcome to the Medusa.

Red Roses For Me
Rum Sodomy And The Lash (the best one I reckon)
If I Should Fall From Grace With God
Peace And Love
The Ultimate Collection - the one with the live CD too (I love that live CD, brings back good memories of last christmas)

I'm certain that it is worth every single step

I'm working on the posts

I sadly can't stomach whiskey after a certain drinking contest involving 2 Bottles, 2 People, and a 2 minutes on the stopwatch :(

unless Jack Daniels counts...? Or Sambuca - it's not whiskey but I can drink it strait off :)

Well, it qualifies as American Whisky being a Tennessee Bourbon. It'll do. But please to be remembering - ALWAYS indulge in binge drinking responsibly. Or something.

No really... its fine. Just don't pull the pin. That would be messy. As for Sambuca.... well THAT is like putting a timebomb in your skull and setting the timer for two hours and fooling yourself into thinking you have an amazing tolerance. Next thing you know you are a Brady Bunch volcano science project spewing the most interesting smelling lava imaginable. Not that I know from personal experience, but this is common knowledge. And then the time bomb goes off, and head injuries just bleed so much, and ...well... hurt. So. Whiskey.

Magners and Jamesons sounds like a winning combination, Fintan ??!!!

Tip for those in summer heatwave (was that it?) - try making your own V2s.

1 part vodka (preferably Finlandia or Reyka)
1 part dry martini
1ish part lemonade
Some ice

Repeat.

Very refreshing and "gets you where you want to be", as they say
Shant on

Sounds awful. Vermouth is only for martinis. Even then, I would argue against it as anything more than a subtle flavoring. Try a Southside:

tall glass full of ice
some gin (to taste)
some fresh lemon juice
simple syrup with lots of fresh mint in it
then fill up the glass with club soda (seltzer)
garnish with a sprig of mint

(a friend of mine squeezes a couple dozen lemons and picks the leaves off of a couple garbage bags full of mint plants, then blends the mint with the lemon juice, pushes the whole mess through some cloth, then mixes in some sugar -- it makes sort of an instant Southside concoction)

Its kind of an alcoholic mint lemonade. :D 8)
