NME in the mid 80s

Post Wed May 10, 2006 10:09 pm

Shane was interviewed in a pub garden and he was slagging off walkmans (as they were called) saying they stopped people from communicating with each other "If you're listening to a walkman you can't hear . . . (a bird started singing) . . . that"

How can you be so sure she didn't steal it from Shane? ;)

Its a track on here .

I have a very vague recollection that this tongue twister/ poem played a part in my history exam as regards a 18th century major killer decease . But for the life of me can "t remember which one.Possibly some thing to do with Lancashire mill towns
"Put the Kettle on ."

Shut Up

Post Sun May 28, 2006 5:44 pm

Shane addressed the crowd at the 9:30 Club on 9 March 2006 about four songs in, with a glorious "Shut Up!"..... I thought that was pretty special because he was speaking to me. I have shut up ever since. Amazing.

If you ask him very very politely (in a not-giving-a-fuck-about-the-rules sort of way), Mr C might tell you to stop typing too :p
