Although not a Pogues cover here's a link to a song i'm sure many of you will like, got to see this band recently, played a few Pogues tracks absolute quality!

I’ve listened only to the mp3s at their websiteand judging from them, GWF are great! :D Apart from Father MacLean, which you mentioned, I like especially Darkland and July Morning. Arvid sings like Shane’s double – call it a shameless imitation, but it’s good fun. Brilliant band following in Pogues’ footsteps.

I happened upon GWF a few months ago, and promptly ordered all their albums. They are indeed great! And yes, I agree, Arvid does sound just like Shane, it's amazing.

Yes, GWF is great. Specially their last album is impressive.
I don't think that Arvid is a Shane double by any means though.. It's just that he got a dark scratchy voice and try to mimic Shane's style of singing alot.
It's very, very, very, very -and some additional very's- easy to tell them apart.
If not- you need to listen to both bands more! ;) It's not the same at all!!! ;)
Also Shane is a bit more dynamic..

But most of you just listened to those low quality mp3s i presume.

Streets of Salvation, Mainstreet sword is the first one.
I ordered my albums from Agnes at their site: http://www.g-w-f.com
I didn't get the chance to pay for them, feel bad about that. They didn't reply mails when I told them they forgot about it. heheh.
