I bought The Snake in the U.S. in 1995, and the previous post is consistent with what's on the version of the CD I've got: "Haunted," "Nancy Whiskey," and "Roddy McCorley" are on the disc, but not "You're the One."

Gods bless you Chevvers! Tear the little fecker's head aff! People like that little shit make me so disgusted at the vapid stupidity and selfishness of many of my fellow humans. I know we operate on totally different levels of the music 'business', but I feel a sinking nausea in my gut when I think of the money spent by ARTISTS when producing their own albums (originals like you guys OR covers like me), only to have some puerile, lazy, ill-mannered fuckwit like Guest (above) THIEVE one's work.

And as for YOU, little Guesty: Phil's FAR too nice. If I were a carpenter (as the song goes), I'd nail your f%$%ing head to a table. Prat.
If you can afford to sit on the Net, you can afford to pay an artist for the work. Thief.

If you do pay for your table (and I hope you do- I don't like thieves), I hope the legs don't fall off like they did on the last one I bought from Christy Moore.

I think that downloading is not that bad, if you want to discover new talents. Sometimes I download one or two MP3s of an artist, and if I like it, I go buy the album. But yeah, downloading everything without ever buying is stupid.

Yup, I think that some downloads are okay (but most of the bands put certain mp3´s on their webpages), but to share and download everything is stupid.

From the other hand I don´t know how costly are CDs in UK and US but here in Czech, original CDs are often very costly. If the company would lower the cost, amount of piracy would lower greatly imho.

Yup that's what I always do: if I like it, I buy it , otherwise I delete it from my harddrive

I download music primarily when it is either out of print or just really, really hard to find. I also like to download the mp3s of songs that I already have on vinyl so I can make myself CDs of those albums. I only try to download artists that would be OK with me downloading their music. If I really like a band, I'll buy the album regardless of whether or not I have downloaded it.

Haha, fuckin eh, huh. I couldn't be more against downloading - with exceptions here and there. The ultimate dillema for me is used record stores. I couldn't live without them, but they kinda cheat the artist's ability to profit off of peoples' enjoyment of their work. Yet, many (probably a majority - ?), of records in such stores are out of print and purchasing them from these places is the only way to get them, let alone hear them. Such is life.
