Those jackets were really nice. Not 100% sure, but they looked like they were men's sizes. On the Sunday, I actually saw someone walking on the street in New York wearing one! Oh yeah, that same day, I walked into Penn Station to make a phone call, and the most amazing thing happened. They were playing the Irish Rover over the speakers - the Pogues/Dubliners version... I stopped right there and must have looked like a nutter, smiling, tapping my foot...

I'm wearing one of those jackets right now on my way to JFK airport. It's designated "L", which was the only size they had left, but it actually is only moderately too big for me. You know those super-sizing Americans - Large = petite, XL= ginormous. XXL = vast.

Mr. C: Have a great trip back home. I loved the shows and especially your performances and as always, really appreciate your postings here. I've just about broken the personal bank on the online store with things I waited to buy rather than risk losing at the shows!

I'm 6'1" and about 180 lbs., and got a large. Fits perfectly. I've been wearing it almost non-stop since the 16th, and am really impressed by the quality. It's been washed a couple of times and has held its size and shape. A bargain at twice the price!

Somehow I can't imagine you sporting the "causal" look Philip. :) Have a safe trip home...

Au contraire. I saw someone sporting the jacket who looked quite natty. Perfect for Mr. C. Maybe the "look" depends on the wearer.

Riiiight...so what're the odds on scoring a XXXXL, or a "Quadruple-Vast?

Probably less than scoring a quadruple-bypass.

That was mean and I am sorry. Mostly.

It's quite nice today in New York City and the surrounding areas (around 60 degrees F). But maybe still a perfect day for that jacket. Somehow I can't picture Phil without the dapper look. Any new guitars from 48th Street Phil? I used to go into Manny's.

I got an XL T-shirt and it fits fine as long as it doesn't accidentally go into the dryer, unless runjohnnyrun is right about the size holding well after a wash.
