I guess the song always brings me to tears is Skyline Pigeon (E. John). It reminds me of my sister who died suddenly at 31 from a brain aneurysm.
I'm also kind of a sap for Danny Boy and The Town I Loved So Well.

There's a Maine singer-songwriter named Carol Noonan who performed it on NPR a week or two back - she does a narrative intro, talking about her history with the song and having to sing it at her father's funeral, which is funny, sweet and, darn it all, it made me cry when I heard it. I think the intro was edited a bit, but most of it is still listenable online for anyone interested:
