i'm always on the same computer. lately i've been checking back here at the most every half hour and i'm still logged out. i know i'm not accidentally logging out. the cookie setting is low. i don't know what this write access dealio is.

i frequent like, 4 other forums and this is the only one i'm having a problem with.

Wouldn't actually matter if the cookie names overlapped. Cookies are bound to the domain ("pogues.com" in this case), so any other domain could use the same cookie name without any worry.

Is anybody else having a problem with being prematurely logged out, or the "Remember me" (or whatever the label is) check-box not working correctly?

He needs to adjust his cookie setting to medium, in order to permanatly stay logged on. He said it's currently at low, that's the problem.

Crazy MSIE stuff.

I haven't used MSIE in years (or ever, really - not as a day-to-day user-agent) so really have no idea what those security settings do. :?

I know more than I care to about its protocol handling (it's a really crappy HTTP/1.0 and HTTP/1.1 client) and how to work around it in a server. I know almost nothing about what options exist, where the GUI to mangle them lives, or what their effects are on its crazy ideas about security.
