does anyone know if it's possible to get this thing on cd, with the wild rover and leaving of liverpool as b-sides? or do i have to wait for chevron's remastered stuff to come out, which will supposedly have all the old b-sides as bonus tracks? thanks.

As far as I know this was not issued on CD. Anyone else know if these exist digitally anywhere?

I think those tracks are on kufen's ftp site.... But they'll be on the reissues I'm sure.

No, they were never released on CD that I know of. That single came out well before CDs were being made.

Ummm. No.

It would be accurate to say "That single was released before audio CDs were in mass production" or "Before audio CDs were widely accepted by the public," etc.

For a brief history of the audio recording technology in use throughout the world today, see this very interesting timeline.

For this conversation the relevant bit is that audio CD players and audio CDs themselves were publicly introduced in Europe and Japan in Fall of 1982, and in North America in Spring of 1983. Interestingly the CD-ROM was demonstrated to the public in Spring of 1983 as well.

Wow. I feel old.
