I'd just sent a letter, to DzM, saying I'd like to be a mod. Then I read this. I doubt I'll be made a mod, since I was a little late. Ah, well, good luck to all. My vote goes for Kufen.

I never looked at Kufen's FTP, but I do enjoy MacRua's Bog. The Gaelic lessons are nice, using it to teach myself. If I don't win the election, I'd like one of them to.

There was a nominating/volunteering period. Everyone that was nominated (and accepted their nomination) or volunteered was added to the list.

The goal is to be inclusive. To have the user community appoint somebody that the greatest number of users believe can best represent their interests. If I cherry-pick who I want to fill the role then that community support is lacking.

I dislike using forums where decisions about how things are run are made wholy without user input. I'm trying to avoid that situation here. I want everybody to feel that they have had an opportunity to contribute directly or indirectly.
