So what we need, DzM, please, is a little "Shane laughing" emoticon, to indicate the presence of Shane on the fora...

Actually the Pogues did exist, but the whole U.S. Tour thing is just made up by DzM, Zuzana, and Mac.... with colusion by the evil Philip Chevron (who inevitably will deny all of this and claim he was at a show and has nothing to say on the subject), to collect ticket sales and fleece the American public. I'm told the Christmas reunion shows.... you got it.... MADE UP!Notice it has only been advertized on the web site (fooling the venue owners as well, who now completely believe the Pogues are coming to America in March). The whole will call thing is brilliant as well. Take the money now and skip off to wherever it is they are going to go. Oh, you guys are good........

I know what you are thinking. Mass hysteria. You were thinking that you were actually AT the Christmas shows.... which you were..... but that was not the Pogues, but a clever cover band. They sounded great and all, but notice the hair. The Pogues had hair. Everyone wanted it to be the Pogues so much that even had the clever cover band not been there (in which case I'm told that DzM arranged for a color hologram to produce images of said band) the crowd probably would have created them in their minds anyway. Need I mention the alcohol you were drinking that night as well, dear reader? Oh, so easily fooled.

Which entirely explains why most of the reviews sounded as if they were written by people who hadn't been there!

Wow, that was a good dream though (or "collective illusion", of course).

Yeah, Eric (for it is he), but I used to have hair when I started listening to the Pogues.
And besides, Mr C has already explained how the rest of them have to give up their hair to keep Darryl hirsute...

Muuu Huuu hahahahahaha (evil laugh) .... sorry, Miss Walshy does it better.

Anyway.... there was a topic here wasn't there.... oh yes -- inmyliverpoolhome is, at times, Shane MacGowan facilitated by a friend. At other times it is just that friend. And Shane has come in occasionally as a "guest" also facilitated by different friends. He also speaks occasionally through MacRua, who is a combination of Joey, and Shanes romantic butler. My God people, I've only been here for a couple months and even I figured it out with my low IQ. You call yourself drunks!?!? Sheeeesh.

Yet another proof that perfect operations are always spoiled by the unreliable human factor... Eric V, please try to control your sleep-walking guests. The lose-tongued beasts undermine our very best efforts and try to rob you of your unique chance to experience the best hoax, I mean the best happening of your life.

No. Only once. I returned home from the army and was working as a bouncer at the bar/eatery that my brother was managing. A huge ugly fight broke out one night and I got involved. A guy on lots of drugs came in with a tire iron and wanted to seriously hurt some people. People were arrested and people went to the hospital. Not I. However, it caused me such stress that I walked in my sleep that night for the first and only time. My mother heard a knocking at the door at 4AM. There I was in the hall with only my boxers on. She asked me what I was doing, as I walked past her. She followed me into the kitchen and observed my odd behavior. She asked what I was looking fo, as I methodicaly looked in the cabinets. I told her that I was "looking for the chocolate milk key" ...and at that she told me to go back to bed and I did. The next night my brother told me I was in big trouble with mom, and that I was out of my mind on drugs or drink. Took me a few days to prove to her that it was just stress from the fight. Since then, I have not.

Aren't we all, each in our own way, looking for the chocolate milk key?
