Why are we wasting hate on someone who hasn't done much, if anything to harm anyone other than himself?

i cant understand why everyone is having abit of a pop at Pete.

It's elementary: people need someone to hate (and looks like they need it much more than someone to love). Individuals and whole countries need enemy. It helps them feel reasonable, decent and important, helps forget about their own problems, the louder they shout slagging another of their skapegoats the more confident they feel, as it muffles weak but obtrusive voice of their own conscience. To attack outer <imaginary> enemy is easier than to deel with inner <real> one. And the web gives the widest opportunity in that case. One doesn't have to account for his words. One doesn't even need to raise his arse and leave cosy warmth of his dark room to throw shite at someone on the other side of the planet (someone who even doesn't know about shite thrower's existance and his sad hatred) and still feel safe and important...
Pete D. is just another random victim (there is a back side of fame and it plays bad tricks), not the first, not the last.

I think Pete Doherty is really good, he really does get a terrible time from the tabloids though. I think people listen to his music in the wrong way, because there is this expectation, this kind of "go on, show me you are a brilliant rock star and song writer" etc. Babyshambles are far from being a rock band, to me they sound more like early stuff by French band "Les Tetes Raides", shambolic but almost in a perfectly organised and thought out manner. "Down in Albion" is a brilliant minimalist piece of art. It's nowhere as good as The Pogues, Nick Cave, Tom Waits and the likes, but give the boy a chance to mature as a musician for fuck's sake.

Brilliant! You're asking a fourteen year old to give Doherty a chance to mature as a musician.

HA! Tipsy McSwagger is a SHE by the way.How insulting.I still stand by what I wrote..although maybe not as viciously, admitedly I was in a very emotionally fragile mood that day and it gave me the perfect excuse to have a rant...still think the guy is a twat.End of.

hoho..i like being admired. But I guess id rather be admired for something more worthwhile than being able to spout Pete Doherty inspired hatred reasonably well.

Your resource is endless? you still have some shite to throw at Pete? Fuc.. I mean... go here and share your priceless thoughts with other fans of Pete. Don't deprive them of that pleasure! They would be happy to learn what you feel about Pete and his creativity as much as we were. Thanks for your kind contribution and deep analysis.
