Why do you think so? It's a good view on the life of Shane and the Pogues

Well, I assume we're talking about "A Drink With...", in which case I guess I just don't like the book. I think it tells us more about Victoria Clarke than Shane, it's written in an annoying style, and the 'interviews' that form the basis of it were carried out at a very low point in Shane's life and I don't think reflect the true personality of the man. Didn't Shane himself criticize the book when it came out? To me it shows a lot of bitterness towards the Pogues that isn't really there, and apart from a few anecdotes doesn't really tell you much you didn't already know.

But then again it's a better book than I've ever written!
