What book are you reading?

speaking of Angelas Ashes--- this is one of my favorite books! i even took a Angelas Ashes walking tour in Limerick years ago.met Frank McCourt at a lecture and book signing--signed my book too. i plan on reading THE TEACHER soon.

i recently read "paddy whacked" the untold story of the irish american gangster ,by t.j. english ... a stunningly good read and in my not very humble opinion alot better than t.j"s book "the westies" i will never look at my american cousins in the same light again! all that history thats been swept under the carpet , thanks mr.c for the recommendation, also recently i devoured"the black dahlia" by james ellroy a real page turner right up to the very end,if you try this book beware of chapter 32 :twisted:

after the black dahila i got hooked on ellroy"s style and right now iam ploughing my way through the all in one tome dudley smith trio"the big nowhere,l.a confidential,white jazz. books are reallife treasure to me ,i had very little education and left school in 1983 with zero qualifications so reading for me is a real gift. :wink:

I just finished 'Tis by Frank McCourt. It was kind of a disappointment after Angela's Ashes (which I adored). Hoping to read Teacher Man next.
