I've played it between Hey Sa-Lo-Ney by Mickey Lee Lane and Land of 1000 Dances by Wilson Picket and the folk on the dancefloor never blinked an eye. Tremendous!

I currently rate Drunken Boat as the most overlooked pogues tune.

yes - love that one and another one which isn't a Pogues original, the Parting Glass. On a completely different theme (which I suppose says a lot about the band) and not sure if it's underrated as such but I can also listen to London Girl over and over.
Last night as I slept I dreamt I met with Behan, I shook him by the hand as we passed the time of day.

I agree with you on Lorca's Novena. It's not just underrated, it is so brilliant one wonders why it is underappreciated to begin with.

Irish traditional song, covered by Shane on the Crock Of Gold album.

I like 'The Limerick Rake', but also think 'Misty Morning, Albert Bridge' is a real beauty.

I agree -- "Misty Morning" is one of the most gorgeous songs the Pogues ever did.
