Very sad about The Queen.I am not a Royalist by any stretch......but she was the one constant in most of our lives.Wherever i travelled, there was nearly always someone who would ask me about HRH...in the most strangest of places.Though,in recent times,i'm often asked questions about The Peaky Blinders and Ozzy Osbourne! Will Charlie Boy kick some Royal ass and finally give Andrew, Harry and his Missus the red card to end all Royal red cards?

Ramsey Lewis a genuinely great jazz - soul keyboard player RIP.

Apparently Queen Elizabeth II has died too. I think there must've been some sort of media blackout...

Actor and gay icon Leslie Jordan.
Damn.

Like Dill from To Kill A Mockingbird come to life.

The only reason, besides the Karen, Rosario and "Just Jack!" characters to watch Will and Grace.
Beverley Leslie's name alone is spectacular.

I did watch his daily videos during the 30 days I had off at the start of Covid and always thought that if pay was equal to breadth of talent, no way would this actor be living in a condo in West Hollywood, as nice as it may be.

Still remember his story about a physical fight he had with some homophobe that thought he was gonna get away with gay slurs at a West Hollywood Starbucks.

RIP

Cowboy singer & sometimes songwriter Don Edwards has died at age 86.

Maybe best known to the broader world as the character Smokey in Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer, he's best known to me for the beautiful song "Coyote" (which got a lot of attention from being featured in the 2005 documentary Grizzly Man).

And Leslie Jordan died in a car accident! He was only 67.

Maybe the nicest comment i saw was "Leslie Jordan carried the whole world on his back during those early months of the pandemic".

I just liked hearing his great stories about his upbringing, family, etc.

It looks like he was on the UK Celebrity Big Brother years ago and tussled with a contestant from Flavor of Love. Calling her a "stinking French slut", I believe.
Who knew? Americans have no idea who most of the Brits are on that show. I mean, I knew who Pete Burns was.
Wasn't he on there ? And did Wife Swap?

Jordan had the most famous fan-girls commenting on his instagram, like Michelle Pfeiffer. Just thought the attention was well deserved. Unlike the typical dumbfucks on there. I'm trying to think of another page I even look at, except family. Have a family member with a food page that I try and set dress on the sly. Giving them props here and there, LOL. I've made the page twice. 8)

I actually have one of his first edition shirts from 2020. The image on mine is wearing off, think it says "Well, #hit, how ya'll doin'?" on the back. Wore it last week. Loved wearing it in homophobic as hell Idaho. Also have a Johnny Weir shirt that is a-maz-ing.

His career was certainly thriving.
What a loss to his community.

Time has killed The Killer - Jerry Lee Lewis, dead at 87.

(So... was he called The Killer because two of his seven wives died under mysterious circumstances during divorce proceedings?)

Dead Kennedy's drummer D.H. Peligrio has died from head trauma suffered from a fall at home. 63 is much too young to be dying of a fall!

More than a minor influence, he arguably wrote the template on hard core drumming. As Flea put it (Peligrio had a brief stint with RHCP): “The power, the soul, the recklessness.”

The great Patrick Haggerty, the first out gay country singer and founder of the legendary group Lavender Country, has died at 78. Even if he never made enough money to buy a Nudie suit, it was nice to see him & the group finally get some proper recognition through the 2010s.

Keith Levene, founding member of The Clash, dead at 66.

As well as recruiting Joe Strummer to The Clash, he was a member of PiL (his guitar work on "Theme" often cited as a huge influence on a decade or two of music), and worked extensively with Jah Wobble.

Now joined by The sea arch at MacKenzie's Brook in P.E.I. Also weakened by Hurricane Fiona, it has now succumbed to the sea.

Pre-punk legend and inspiration to many in the class of '77, guitarist Wilko Johnson had died at the age of 75, nine years after being diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer and electing not to receive any chemotherapy. Best known for being a founding member of Dr. Feelgood, he also had a brief stint in Ian Dury's Blockheads, and a long solo career leading the Wilko Johnson band.

Johnson's musical style underpinned the early years of Dr Feelgood. A style that has been cited as one of the founding influences of the British punk movement. Jean-Jacques Burnel of The Stranglers says "I often say to journalists there is a bridge between the old times and the punk times. That bridge is exclusively the Feelgoods, it allowed us to go from one thing to another. That's the connection, the DNA."

AND... he played mute executioner Ser Ilyn Payne in Game of Thrones!

I've never listened to his solo stuff, but I've just seen that his rhythm section - at least in the later years - was Norman Watt Roy & Dylan Howe of The Blockheads, so now i'm intrigued.
