It's nice that ESPN is finally showing stuff I actually have an interest in watching.

Vintage wrestler beer fights sounds great. Especially now the pubs are closed, it could be the only way to see two old men (or women) fighting over a pint of beer.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

Today: An MVP-caliber tooth pull

Kansas City kid-fan pulls own tooth by throwing football while dickhead parent records their masterpiece.
Just give him an apple, FFS, like normal people.

At least the kid was using a lighter ball.

Bat spinning, axe throwing, T. Brady watching himself in the Super Bowl , a wrestler choking Shaq (earning a double choke slam) and The Rock’s giant french toast.

Was just watching Joan Jett race Anne Murray and La Toya Jackson in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Sports Classic, 1978.The Runaways fan edited this unmercifully.

La Toya was absolutely adorable with her original nose. Seriously.

Rod Stewart is a real weirdo.

The 30 sec of this that I watched makes me think that in the 1970s there was a critical shortage of supportive undergarments. That looked ... painful.

Also, the 70s were a special decade of weird specials. Circus of the Stars. Rock 'N' Roll Sports Classic. Network Battle of the Stars. Whatever happened to these ridiculous things?

Apparently Battle of the Network Stars was so popular it aired during sweeps week. :D

Night of 100 Stars was bizarre.

Robert Wagner.

The audience favorite was definitely Jimmy Stewart. I think Dabney Coleman is hysterical.

They were raising money for the Actors Fund.

Now, the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon was the best time stopper ever. Everyone just kept it on
Ike it was the Olympics. I cannot believe it only aired for 21.5 hours. Felt thrice as long.

This is a thing of absolute joy. Thanks for posting, Frances. 8)

And as far as I remember, it's an accurate reflection of what the 70s were like.

Happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy....anniversary.

I recall watching this real time-ish and thinking... well at least he (Rome) is consistent.

I don’t remember them finishing the show (after this) at all. Mortin Downey Jr., Stern (late night), fucking Geraldo and this masochist were what we watched before Springer and Cheaters ever aired.

Rome has the same face as Johnny whatever his name was from Survivor. Ratty.
