Are you certain? In the most recent series (with the fascist) I'd swear it's missing from the opening sequence. I recall in the second series each episode had a cover version, and the series before this one reverted back to Mr. Cave. It struck me and the Lovely Mrs. DzM both noted its absence this year.

Erm... I think so. Maybe my brain is playing tricks on me again. It does that increasingly with age, I find. Hmm

I wouldn't normally venture into Yorkshire unless The Pogues were on there. I've seen SF about a dozen times since discovering them supporting The Specials a while back and they get better each time.

I would be hard pressed to pick a current live favourite from them. Skinny Lister and Smoove & Turrell...

Haven't seen Stone Foundation, SF, I need to check them out... the Skinnies are just awesome live.

They are well worth a watch. We're off to see the Skinnies in Liverpool in a couple of weeks as they are not doing Manc on this leg of their tour. Shows how good they are if I'll go to the pool to see em!

Enjoy! They're not doing anywhere around these parts this time. But they were here in May, best gig of the year for me.

Hey Soulfinger! Frank Turner is coming to play Boston Gliderdrome next march..more than seven years after I missed him supporting the Pogues! All good things to he who waits!

You're a patient man and no mistake. I've probably seen him six times since then, though I passed on the gig in Manchester a week or so ago. Not so keen on the last album.

We did go and see The Lancashire Hotpots at the Academy on Saturday. It's like playschool for adults.

Just saw Adam Ant in Toronto a few months ago. They were great. Are they still doing Friend or Foe?
Would love to see them with Pee Wee!

They aren't together, that'd make too much sense.

Pogues copy band, The Pogue Traders at Liverpool Irish Centre this coming Saturday despite Jake being on crutches after having a hip replacement operation because he fell over and broke it three weeks ago.

We live 10 minutes walk away from the club, but we're going to have to get a taxi there and back because of this.
