Avoid Vegas. Always. But especially when CES or re:Invent are happening.

I love Vegas so much. 8)
But this CES business is a buzzkill.
No comps, ah well.

Seriously. :)
That’s nuts.

The hitch is there's always a 10-hour stopover in Oslo where you get to be an unpaid human guinea pig/lab rat.

It’s a direct flight.

I am all about flights to Scotland that layover in Iceland, though.
Twofer.

Wow, since when do they have direct flights?!!
I'm going to finally visit Iceland in the next life. I'm done getting cooked by microwaves at every airport in this life.

I dunno, never flown them before.

It's a direct LAX to Gatwick. Tons of flights available, if anyone is so inclined.

If you can handle not picking a seat, just taking a small backpack and not eating airline food $159.90 is the real price.

We went on Norwegian to Prague a few years back. It wasn't too bad but the long stopover in Oslo was murder for me right after brain surgery. Norway has a giant frequency transmitter that I suspect they try out on unwitting travelers, just like Alaska has. And I've found out there's a high incidence of cancer among TSA security from being so close to all the screening radiation, and I don't need any more of that.

Hey - that's where i've been too!

Although i have been riding my bike around town and seen some new neighbourhoods and found a couple new favourite places and a new favourite liquor store where i discovered West Cork Whiskey - the "Black Reserve" is my favourite.

If you follow James Fearnley on Instagram, you'll know he's been riding his bike ("the old veteran") around LA every day and doing similar sightseeing. He's replaced the wheels & brakes - i'm on a new drivetrain (was needed already) and a new seatpost & saddle.

Yep. The garden at firehazard towers has been the furthest I've been since quarantine began. The neighbours' chickens are the most exotic thing any of us have seen.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.
