I haven´t posted in a long time but I´m reading the new posts a few times a week. Wish there was more to write about (Christmas shows) but sadly not much.

Have a great Holiday all my friends :)

Here´s an unusual cover...especially at this time of the year when there are only FONY covers on youtube

I really like that. I prefer it to the original.

Cait singing 'I'm A Man You Don't Meet Everyday' with Puddles Pity Party.
I've been following this guy for a few years since I saw him with Post Modern Jukebox. This was such a shock when he posted this earlier today.

You know, I love Puddles, and obviously I love Cait and this song, but I'm a bit disappointed in this. More of a throw-away rehearsal than a finished performance. And it's a shame, because Puddles has a way of bringing the pathos and tragedy in a song to the fore, and this song is certainly a suitable candidate.

His cover of Sia's "Chandelier" is the obvious bench mark, but his versions of "Sounds of Silence" and "Space Oddity" are also epic and not to be missed.

Yep, I agree. It seems as though that only had a few minutes to get this together. Personally, I love his version of Lordes' 'Royals' with Post Modern Jukebox and his recent cover of 'House Of The Rising Sun'.

His take on Nick Cave's "Ship Song" is fabulous too.

Live on Top Of The Pops in 1994:

Shane MacGowan & The Popes featuring Sinead O'Conner - "Haunted",

Just wondering if anybody can say for certain... is that Brian "Robbo" Robertson, of Thin Lizzy fame, on mega-lead guitar there?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdauEuiU5fo
Shane Macgowan And The Popes with Johnny Depp - That Woman's Got Me Drinking

Who is the muscle-bound shirtless one on guitar? Is it the same guy with a quick costume change?

Yes I see him, but there's ANOTHER guy (or two) on guitar in both of those vids. LIke in "Haunted:, McGuinness is in the jacket & white shirt & whitish hollowbody guitar, who is the fellow w the Gibson Les Paul in the black sleeveless shirt plays the solo? I'm thinking Robbo as he's got a credit for "megalead guitar" on The Snake, and that kinda looks like him. However, i'm thinking the shirtless buff guy in "That Woman..." looks less like him.

Here's Lankum's version of 'The Old Main Drag' which they performed at Shane's birthday bash. Fantastic harmonies.
