Shane not writing new songs?

Is it true Shane has not written any new songs since his second solo album?

Has he made any statement about why, or whether he's going to?

I am aware of one done in 2014.

Shane has written a ballad, ‘For the Dancing and the Dreaming’ for the upcoming film, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON – 2, the sequel to the hit movie based on Cressida Cowell’s YA book series. DRAGON 2 premiered recently at Cannes and the film will be released on June 11th

Shane didn't sing it but I remember hearing it and thinking it sounded like something Shane would sing/write. His name didn't appear in the ending credits. He wrote the lyrics only.

Has anyone asked Shane why he doesn't write more songs?

I noticed also, the Sex Pistols made no attempt to write more songs in their reunions which started around 1996.

The Pogues should be able to make a new album. If Shane doesn't write new songs, the others could, although Phil was a great loss.

Yeah, other than the Dragon movie song, the last "new" song i remember was "Satan is Waiting" w/ Lancaster County Prison, which was in 2003
