Tonight we'll be watching:

A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All! (2008)
here's a clip, with WIllie Nelson singing "Little Dealer Boy": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDVX1cHlpLs

Black Adder's Christmas Carol (1987)

We watch an Xmas Carol every year. This is scrooge in reverse, how Black Adder went from being nice to the stinker we all love.

Punch-Drunk Love with Adam Sandler, a great movie, Adam plays a serious role here, though its a comedy+ drama, didn't expect anything decent from a movie with a word "love" but it turned out to be just great!

A trio of film adaptations of Terry Pratchett novels, all produced by Mudd Productions:
Hogfather (2006), The Colour Of Magic (2008), Going Postal (2010)

Depicting the weird, wacky, complex and colourful multiverse that inhabits Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels may seem an insurmountable challenge, and the existence of a rabid fanbase who will jump down your throat if you get it wrong (like, say, Douglas Adams fans & the "Hitchhikers' Guide... " film. Blech.) might dissuade many from even trying. All three of these movies do an amazing job of it, no small feat. Overall, great writing, performances and cinematography, and Pratchett fans will want to watch all three. That said, "Colour of Magic" is a mess, and will ONLY appeal to fans. There's just too much going on, too many characters, and a poorly-paced, disjointed story (although Cohen the Barbarian is great). "Going Postal" is probably the best, and both it and "Hogfather" work very well as stand-alone films, accessible to those who haven't read Discworld, and enjoyable by those who have.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, by the inimitable Martin McDonagh of In Bruges fame.

He also declared The Pogue to have been one of his influences. And definitely Mr Chevron loved his Lieutenant of Inishmore with the ill-fated cat, Wee Thomas.
