Morrison's Jig, base tune to which Pogues track?

Post Sun Feb 28, 2016 1:10 pm

Alright, help a guy out.

I play around with the mandolin a bit (I have four) and stumble across traditional tunes from time to time that I know are the base tunes, in part or in whole for Pogues tracks. Some I recognised immediately (and unfortunately lose track of) others I can't immediately place.

Morrison's Jig is one of those that I can't immediately place.

When I play this I feel lime I'm channeling the Pogues but can't figure out which track.

Not my video http://youtu.be/UOvsxRPpEcs

That's the second tune of The Battle March Melody from If I Should Fall From Grace With God, starting at the 2 minute mark and ending at the 2:23 mark.
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”
