Well said, Low D.

Looking forward to the whiskey-promotional tour now.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

Morrisons sell own-brand gin & vodka @ 43% abv for £15. Now, That is worth drinking.
I gotta problem with alcohol....it costs far too much.
The Pogues....Irishmen from London, like spike Milligan was an Irishman born in India........
Market yr Irish whiskey @ 45% abv, for £15, and folks will listen to yr music.
Otherwise, don't forget to drive on the left when u're in the USA.

Brings back memories of when I was a connoisseur (or conasewer) of Boone's Farm Wine. Back around 1980, it used to be three bottles for $5 USD. Fruity flavor, great buzz and a jackhammer hangover headache. Pleased to find out it is still a bargain, three bottles for $8.97!!

Punk rockers in Columbus, Ohio, introduced me to the Mad Dog Margarita back in the mid 90s: one bottle MD + a large slushie = (as you said) a motherfucking jackhammer headache.

Not to be confused with the Mad Dog Margarita at the Chili Parlor bar, as referred to in Guy Clark's lovely "Dublin Blues":
"I wish I was in Austin/mmm-hmmm/In the Chili Parlor bar/Drinking Mad Dog margaritas and not wondering where you are."
Funny story about that here:

Country Kwencher and Apple Wine were the best.
$1.17. :)

Apparently it's malt-based now and not the same at all.

Brings back some memories for sure. Apple was always the first choice around my hometown. Country Kwencher or the Berry flavor, BUT NEVER the Strawberry !

There is another good picture of Andrew, Daryl, Jem and Terry at the launch, unfortunately, haven't figured out how to post pictures yet (I have only been here a decade or so). Link here:
