Been on youtube investigating different versions of 'Gallows Pole'..everyone knows the Led Zeppelin version..supposedly it was Leadbelly who wrote it..although some say the original song was an old English folk song called 'the maid of the gallows'...who knows? Damn fine song..there's a great version by an English blues outfit (BabaJack) but I don't know how to transfer from youtube to here..thick old barney <smileyfacethingy>
