A few i took in 2003/04 at a Fred Eaglesmith concert in Victoria, British Columbia. That's Fred with the late great Wille P. Bennett to his right. I believe that's Roger Marin Jr. on guitar far right.

Beard and banjo. Local busker.

Real character. I wonder what his life story is?

Stopped and had a chat with him in town yesterday. He's a good bloke, with many an interesting story to tell. Turns out he busks fairly regularly with someone I know, she was accompanying him on the fiddle.

He reminds me of a 'busker' we have in Liverpool. He's actually a tramp and he has a banjo made out of cardboard with drawn on strings. He's quite a celebrity in Liverpool, if you ever come here just ask about the man who plays cardboard guitar, everyone knows him.
